Valhalla perhaps represents one of the most complex and audacious projects ever delivered in the industry. Costing a staggering £15m, the ride opened for the park’s millennium season after multiple years of planning and construction.

The ride built on a rich history of dark rides, but the scale of the project dwarfed anything that had come before. Located in a vast building on the former site of the Fun House, Valhalla was to be a fully themed experience, taking riders on a longboat voyage through the legendary the hall of the slain.

❓Did You Know❓

A number of characters seen within Valhalla are based on real people associated with the park and its shows

With each longboat seating eight ‘Adventurneers’, the ride offers a six minute journey down vast drops, free running river sections combined with spellbinding special effects many of which are unique to Valhalla.

The ride has undergone two refurbishments, one in 2011/2012 and a more significant overhaul that saw the ride relaunch for the 2023 season.
