The Brownie Coaster was introduced as part of the new ‘Bingle & Bob’s Kiddies’ Amusement Park of 1927 alongside several other kiddie devices, including the Fairy Whip.

It was an early example of a powered roller coaster, a concept that would return to Blackpool half a century later with the introduction of the Tokaydo Express.

❓Did You Know❓

The park has been home to numerous rides from the legendary W. F. Mangels company of Brooklyn, New York. These include The Whip, Griffin's Magic Dragons and the Brownie Coaster.

There are no operating examples of this ride type remaining; however, it is thought that the installation from Pennsylvania’s Bushkill Park is currently in storage and may see the light of day once again.
