After the retirement of the Black Hole, the distinct white dome building was reused as a 4D Cinema. The attraction offered two films: Haunted House and PandaVision, each featuring water sprays, air blasts, vibrating seats and leg ticklers.

The Black Hole waltzer in the dark ride was housed in a building that was constructed for the Planetarium. It was later used for the 4D Cinema and the Planet Rock show venue.

When launching the new ride, Amanda Thompson, said: “The 4D Cinema is the first of its kind in Britain with so many special effects and we are delighted to be able to bring the thrills and excitement of this cinema experience to our visitors. Pleasure Beach is renowned for its innovative rides and attractions and this is yet another first to add to our repertoire”.
